Most Indian layer farms still run on open-house A-type (California) cages, where the boxes step out in a pyramid so droppings fall clear and natural ventilation does the cooling. We make 3-tier A-type cages in 90, 96 and 120 bird configurations and 4-tier units up to 160 birds. For larger environment-controlled houses of 5,000-plus birds, our H-type automatic layer cage systems stack vertically (4 to 8 tiers) with a manure belt on every tier. All cages use hot-dip galvanized (HDG) wire for long service life in humid sheds.

The right cage depends on your bird type, flock size and shed.
- Open shed, up to a few thousand layers: A-type (California) cages are the practical choice. They are cheaper to install, easy to manage by hand and need no power for ventilation. Pick 3-tier (90/96/120 birds) for easier access or 4-tier (128/160 birds) when you want more birds in the same shed length.
- EC house, 5,000+ layers: H-type systems give the highest bird density per square foot and pair with manure belts, auto feeding and automatic egg collection to cut labour.
- Broilers: caged rearing keeps litter problems down and birds cleaner. Choose battery boxes for smaller batches or per-sq-ft systems for full sheds.
- Chicks and pullets: brooder cages (day-old to 7-8 weeks) and grower cages protect young birds and make brooding management easier.

Common questions
What is the difference between A-type and H-type layer cages?
A-type (California) cages stack in a stepped pyramid so droppings fall to the floor and birds get natural airflow, which suits open, naturally ventilated sheds and small to mid-size flocks. H-type cages stack vertically with a manure belt under each tier, giving much higher bird density per square foot, and are built for environment-controlled houses of 5,000-plus birds with automation. How many birds fit in one layer cage box?
Our layer battery cage boxes typically hold 3 to 8 birds per box on a per-bird basis. A-type 3-tier units come in 90, 96 and 120 bird configurations and 4-tier units in 128 or 160 birds. We can quote per bird, per box or per complete row to match your shed.
Do you make cages for broilers and baby chicks too?
Yes. We make broiler battery cage boxes (8 to 12 birds), full per-sq-ft caged broiler systems, steel multi-tier brooder cages for day-old chicks up to 7-8 weeks, plastic 5-bird brooder cages and pullet/grower cages for chicks 8 to 16 weeks. Message us on WhatsApp with your batch size.
Are your cages galvanized, and how long do they last?
Our cages use hot-dip galvanized (HDG) wire, which resists rust far better than plain or electro-galvanized wire in humid, ammonia-heavy poultry sheds. With normal cleaning, HDG cages give many years of service, which is why most commercial layer farms specify them. Frames are available in GI or MS.
