The right setup depends on your bird type, flock size and how much labour you want to save.
- Brooding and small flocks: start with chick feeder trays and hanging tube feeders. They are low cost, easy to clean and reduce spillage during the critical first weeks.
- Broiler sheds: auto pan feeding lines with an auger and hopper deliver feed evenly across the house and cut daily labour. A control pan with a feed-level switch keeps the line filled automatically.
- Layer cages: linear channel feeders or a motorised cage feeding trolley feed long rows quickly with minimal staff.
- Breeders: chain feeding and sex-separated pans support restricted, controlled feeding to keep body weight on target.
